The West African Journal of Building and Road Research (WAJBRR) is an International Journal published bi-annually (in May and November of every year) in English for scientists, research scholars and professionals in the fields of Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, Geosciences, Construction Technology and Management, Town Planning, Quantity Surveying, Land Surveying and Estate Surveying and other fields related to the built environment, road and traffic and the construction industry. It is a refereed journal which provides a multidisciplinary outlet for the publication needs of those involved in the construction sector; with particular emphasis on the publication of a balanced mix of articles in fields of building and road research and related areas in construction industry.

Manuscripts of technical research and review articles from experts, reporting original research and innovative applications designed to promote insightful understanding of the state-of-the-art and application trends in the construction industry from all parts of the world are welcome. Manuscripts for publication in WAJBRR are generally selected through rigorous peer review to ensure originality, timeliness, relevance, and readability. Indeed, WAJBRR is a platform to help the general public, authors, professionals, researchers, scholars, academia and other readers in extending and stretching the bounds of knowledge.

Mission: WAJBRR highlights the optimization of resources and maximization of quality through the application of engineering, building metallurgical/material technologies. It publishes current articles on appropriate technology development and transfer, sustainable capacity building and investment promotion, application of environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient innovative construction materials, cost-effective building and road construction practices which will enhance job-creation wealth generation and poverty alleviation; nurture emergence of vibrant, knowledge-based and highly competitive indigenous construction technology capable of meeting global standards.

Scope: The West African Journal of Building and Road Research (WAJBRR) invites research articles written in English language from Scientists, Engineers, Research Scholars, professionals and practitioners involved in engineering, geosciences, building technology, architecture, and other fields related to the construction industry from all over the world for publication in this peer reviewed international journal.
